Assessment & Intervention

Assessment and intervention for feeding and communication are provided within a relationship centred approach. A sense of safety and connection during the therapeutic journey is integral to how assessment, intervention and parent/caregiver coaching is delivered.

Communication & Feeding Difficulties

Newcastle Paediatric Speech Pathology provides:

  • Evidence-based intervention for communication & feeding difficulties.

  • Support with sucking for breast/chest & bottle feeding

  • Support with mealtimes including feeding skills & swallowing

  • Tube transitions

  • Support with all types of communication - from preverbal communication skills to augmentative and alternative communication.
